「～からできている」「～から作られている」という表現は
  • be made of ～
  • be made from ～
  • be made with ～
が思いつきます。
なんとなく使っていましたが違いがあることを知りました。

▶ be made of
材料(＝元が何であるかが見て分かる)の場合に使います。

This desk is made of wood.
この机は木でできています。
 
This table is made of marble.
このテーブルは大理石でできています。

What is it made of?
それは何でできていますか？
⇒ 材料を聞いている
▶ be made from
原料(＝元が何であるかが見て分からない、分かりにくい)の場合に使います。

Wine is made from grapes.
＝ (ブドウを主語にすると) Grapes are made into wine.
ワインはブドウから作られます。

Cheese is made from milk.
チーズは牛乳から作られます。

What is it made from?
それは何からできていますか？
⇒ 原料を聞いている
▶ be made with
成分の一部を表します。
⇒ 「原料、材料」だけでなく、「それを作るのに使った道具」も表します。

A paste is made with flour and water.
生地は小麦粉と水で作られます。

This wooden chair was made with a hammer.
この木製のイスはハンマーで作られました。
